Tackling Food Insecurity: A Focus of the ABA Foundation
The ABA Foundation is strongly dedicated to addressing the prevalent issue of food insecurity within Jewish communities. We strongly believe that actively participating and working together collaboratively are the most effective approaches to identifying sustainable solutions that will guarantee widespread access to sufficient and nutritious food for all.
— Engaging Communities for Sustainable Solutions
Our foundation actively travels across Jewish communities, engaging in discussions with community leaders to explore and implement specific agricultural projects aimed at combating food insecurity. Through these dialogues, we seek to understand the unique challenges and identify effective strategies to address the pressing issue of food scarcity.
— Focused Initiatives: Poultry, Tree Plantation, Fish Pond, and Crop Production
Our foundation takes a targeted approach, focusing on strategic agricultural initiatives that include poultry, tree plantation, fish pond, and crop production. Our goal is to enhance food security within the Jewish communities we serve by focusing on these areas and building self-sustaining agricultural systems. By undertaking a year-round project, the community will be able to produce enough food for their own consumption. Additionally, any surplus can be sold in the market to generate revenue, which can then be used to support the Jewish community’s needs.
At the ABA Foundation, our dedication to alleviating food insecurity is built on collaborative efforts, creative tactics, and focused agricultural projects. We believe that these three pillars are essential to achieving our goal. Our mission is to see to it that all members of the Jewish community have access to food sources that are both wholesome and environmentally friendly.
